I returned 4 Bottles of Excedrin that were recalled to CVS. I got a $25.82 gift card in exchange.

UPDATE: I did NOT buy my all o fmy Excedrin at CVS. They do NOT need a receipt-neither does Rite Aid-it does not matter where you bought it, you can still return it to CVS.

How to Return Your Excedrin, Bufferin, Gas X, and For a Refund Because of Recall!!

If you have been couponing for awhile, you may have some of these items in your stockpile-

These items have bee recalled. Here is the recall information from Novartis

I had Excedrin 20-22ct in my stockpile that was included in the recall. If you got the $.99 Excedrin from CVS on Black Friday that is included also. Anyways, you can mail it in and they will reimburse you.

I took mine (actually I had my husband do it! ) to CVS and they refunded me the full price on a CVS Gift Card. Rite Aid will do the same that I know of. I do prefer cash, but this was so much easier than having to buy an envelope, go to the Post Office, and then wait for a check back. I got $5.99 for each 20-22ct Excedrin that I returned. 2 of them had been opened, but you still get a refund!

Coupon Recipe…Do You Like Tofu??? How About This Recipe?

Ok-Do you ever buy something with coupons because it is a REALLY good deal, and then later on think-what am I going to do with it?? Yeah, that is me with all this TOFU! I have a bunch in the fridge

Safeway Azumaya Tofu $1
Used $1.25 off 2 Azamaya Tofu 10/16 RP
=$.75 for 2 or $.38 each
Someone said you can cook it with vegetables which seemed like a great idea, but I don’t like vegetables too much..so I found this dessert recipe-plus I just happened to have a bunch of FREE Hershey Bars sitting around..

Chocolate Tofu Pudding
1 Package of Tofu (cut in small pieces first)
2-3 Hershey Bars (melted) or more! $0
1/3 Cup Milk-I used Chocolate Almond Milk
2Tbs Water
1 Tbsp Vanilla
Flavored Coffee-Mate (optional, but I have lots of peppermint and raspberry so I think it made a big difference)

Mix in the blender or food processor for awhile until it is COMPLETELY smooth. DO NOT try it as you are making it (trust me). Put in refrigerator and chill for 1 hour. (tastes WAY different once it is chilled. It tastes kind of like a mousse, so if you don’t tell your kids it is pudding (they will think it is like a pudding cup, and it is not) they may like it.

I am going to add it to smoothies today using Chocolate Almond Milk, Bananas, Peanut Butter, Ice, and Tofu- We will see how that goes…

So even though not everyone liked it, I spent less than $.50 on a new recipe and we have all tried tofu now!

When I was volunteering at church, a friend of mine kept telling me about using coupons and how you can save all this money buying stuff at the store. I thought “I can’t really save that much using coupons, besides with me, my husband, and 7 kids I just need to be used to spending a lot because we use a lot.”

Well, I homeschool my children, and since my wonderful husband gave me my own laptop for Mother’s Day, and I had a child struggling in math, in between math problems, I started looking into this whole coupon thing.

When I saw what other people were getting with coupons, and the crazy prices they were getting it for, I was convinced. I started printing out coupons while my kids did school, and having them cut them out when they were done!
