Coupon Article Excerpts!!

I was looking for articles to help a fellow couponer in a project, and found these excerpts to share with you!

“A similar surveyconducted in the middle of 2010 by Coupons.comalso found that households with incomes over $100,000 were twice as likely to use coupons as ones earning under $35,000, and those with a college degree are also almost twice as likely to use coupons as those who did not graduate high school.”

And coupon users are found to be~

More Affluent: Six out of 10 adults (61 percent) with a household income of $100,000 or more have redeemed a coupon in the past six months. Additionally, about four in 10 adults (39 percent) in this income bracket have redeemed coupons printed from an online source in the past six months, making them nearly twice as likely to do so as adults with a household income less than $35,000 (21 percent).

More Educated: Adults with college degrees are almost twice as likely to have used coupons in the past six months as those who didn’t graduate from high school, further dispelling the perceived low-brow stigma of couponing. In fact, the survey shows that this group of grads is also more likely to make a purchase specifically to redeem a coupon, visit a product’s Web site to get a coupon and search for coupons online.

More Metropolitan: More than three in four adults (77 percent) who have used coupons in the past six months live in metro areas.

About Pantry Overflow…

Do you ever think..What am I doing this for?? Sometimes I think like that about couponing, blogging, parenting, etc… Then you kind of snap out it and become grateful again.

Anyways I was looking at the grocery ads that start tomorrow and looking at what I needed versus what is a really good deal and I was very grateful that I learned to coupon, and that someone told someone else about couponing, who told someone else, who then told me..and here I am .

I just wanted to let people know that if you are trying to budget, make ends meet, have a hobby, or like the thrill of having your pantry overflowing for way less than before, be grateful that there are so many resources to make that easier for us. Other coupon sites have helped me tremendously and I am very grateful for them.

I am grateful that my kids can choose from cereal(multiple kinds), Cream of Wheat, Waffles, or Pancakes for breakfast. I am grateful that I don’t have to buy Top Ramen anymore, that I don’t need to buy Almond Milk or Peanut Butter for a LONG time, and that I always have enough to give to friends, family members, and people I may never know.  I will never run out of dish soap, or have to keep twisting my deodorant to make it last until my next trip to the store!

During the next month, I will be sharing with you very easy and economical ways to use your couponing items, skills, and current sales to help give back, or turn them into gifts to share with others. I am participating and helping with North Sac News, Sacramento Helping Hands for their Adopt A Family Christmas program. They are receiving donations for Christmas Dinners, personal items, and more. If you want any information on that or to find ut how to help and/or donate your items, Email Me and I can share the info. I saw the families that received their gifts last year, and it was very heartwarming.

If anyone has any ideas, pictures, examples etc about what they are doing, please email them to me or leave a comment and I would LOVE to post them!
